UNITY IS STRINGTH  

An old farmer had several sons who were constantly arguing with each other. Concerned about their continuous disputes and the trouble it would cause them after his death, the father decided to teach them a lesson.

He asked his sons to bring him a bundle of sticks. He handed the bundle to each son one by one and instructed them to break it. Try as they might, none of the sons could break the bundle while the sticks were tied together.

The father then untied the bundle and gave a single stick to each son. This time, they easily snapped their individual sticks into pieces. The father explained: as long as they stay united like the bundle of sticks, no enemy can harm them; but if they divide and quarrel, they will be easily broken.
