Ultimately, the uprising led to the resignation and exile of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on August 5. The movement was unique in its decentralized, grassroots nature, driven by students, workers, and ordinary citizens. It marked a dramatic shift in Bangladesh's political landscape and is now commemorated annually as a symbol of people’s power, sacrifice, and the struggle for justice.
