Setting up a Canteen Application to the Principal

The Principal

Government Laboratory High School

Dhaka

Subject: Prayer for setting up a canteen.

Sir,

We, the students of your school, beg most respectfully to state that our school has no canteen of its own. There are more than 2,000 students in our school, and most of them stay here from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the tiffin period, we feel very hungry, but we have no place to buy fresh food and pure drinking water.

As a result, many students are compelled to buy food from the unhygienic shops outside the school gate. The food sold there is stale and unhygienic, and it often causes stomach problems. Some students even remain hungry the whole day, which badly affects their studies. Besides, going outside wastes our valuable time and creates indiscipline.

If a canteen is set up in our school, we shall be able to buy fresh and hygienic food at a fair price. We shall also get pure drinking water without going outside. It will save our time and improve our health and studies.

We, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to take necessary steps for setting up a canteen in our school at an early date. We shall be highly obliged to you for this kindness.

We remain,

Sir,

Yours obediently,

Arif Hossain

Subject: Prayer for setting up a canteen.

Sir,

We, the students of your school, beg most respectfully to state that there is no canteen in our school. Our school has about 1,500 students, and most of us come from distant villages. We reach school early in the morning and stay here till the afternoon.

During the long tiffin break, we need food and drinking water. But as there is no canteen, we have to depend on the roadside shops. The food they sell is neither fresh nor hygienic. Many of our fellow students have fallen ill after eating such food. Moreover, pure drinking water is not available anywhere near the school.

A canteen in the school compound would solve all these problems. We could buy fresh food and pure drinking water at a reasonable price within the school. It would also save our time and keep us healthy.

We, therefore, earnestly request you to take immediate steps to set up a canteen in our school. We hope you will consider our prayer sympathetically.

Yours obediently,

Tanvir Ahmed
