GCC/Wafid
এবার By Wafid Slip Number (বা By Slip Number) অপশন সিলেক্ট করুন।
PENDING / UNDER PROCESS —
(Blood test)
(Chest X-ray)
(Urine test)
(Physical examination)
Wafid
"No record found" দেখাচ্ছে?
English Version: Medical Report Check 2026 — GAMCA vs Wafid Complete Guide
Going abroad for work starts with a medical test, but the confusion starts right after: people still search for "GAMCA medical check" while others search for "Wafid medical report check." Are they the same? Which countries need which medical? How do you check your report with a slip number, and what should you do if the result is fit or unfit? This guide answers everything in one place — including the topics most competitor articles skip.
GAMCA vs Wafid: What Is the Actual Difference?
Here is the short answer: GAMCA and Wafid are not two different things. GAMCA (Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association) was the old name of the Gulf countries' medical screening system. In January 2023, the system was rebranded as Wafid, and all services moved to the new portal.
What this means for you:
If an agent or recruiter tells you to do a "GAMCA medical," they mean the Wafid medical.
The old GAMCA website is no longer active; booking, slip download, and report checks all happen on the Wafid portal now.
Whether your slip says "GCC Slip Number" or "Wafid Slip Number," the report-check process is identical.
Searching "gamca medical check status" on Google will still lead you to the Wafid portal.
That is why this article uses both terms — people search with both, but the answer is one.
Which Country Needs Which Medical? (Country-Wise List)
Not every destination needs the same medical — this is the second big misunderstanding. The Wafid/GAMCA medical is mandatory only for work or residency visas of the six GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries:
Saudi Arabia
Qatar
Kuwait
Oman
Bahrain
United Arab Emirates
Outside this list — for example Malaysia — the GAMCA/Wafid system does not apply; Malaysia has a separate medical process. So before booking, first confirm whether your destination is a GCC country. For country-specific visa verification rules, see our detailed guides on Qatar visa check and Saudi visa check — always verify both your visa status and your medical status.
What Is the Wafid Slip Number and Where Do You Find It?
Before the medical, you must book an appointment online on the Wafid portal. After booking, the system issues a Wafid slip — proof of your medical registration. The slip contains:
Your name, passport number, and photo
The GCC/Wafid slip number (a unique multi-digit number, usually printed near the top of the slip)
The assigned medical center's name and address
The appointment date
One important point: you cannot choose the medical center yourself — during booking, the system assigns an approved center based on your city or area. Whether you live in Dhaka, Chattogram, or Sylhet, the test must be done at a Wafid-approved center; a report from anywhere else will not be accepted.
Keep the slip safe — you will need this number to check your report.
Wafid-Approved Medical Centers in Bangladesh
This is a question almost everyone asks, but most guides skip it. The truth: the approved-center list is not fixed — Wafid authorities add or remove centers from time to time. So do not walk into a center based on an old list from some blog. The correct approach:
During booking, the portal itself shows the approved center for your area — that is the most reliable source.
Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet all have multiple Wafid-approved centers, but which one gets your appointment is decided by the system.
You cannot walk into a center and get a "Wafid medical" without booking — online booking and the slip are mandatory first.
How to Check Medical Report by Passport Number (Step by Step)
There are two ways to check your report. The most popular method uses your passport number:
Open the official Wafid portal and go to View Medical Reports under the Medical Examinations section.
Select By Passport Number as the search option.
Type your passport number exactly as printed in your passport — no spaces, no wrong characters.
Select Bangladesh from the Nationality dropdown.
Enter the captcha/image code shown on screen correctly.
Click Check — your medical report status will appear.
Remember: you will not get the report on the exam day itself. The medical center verifies and uploads the report to the Wafid system — this usually takes 24 to 72 hours. If a same-day check shows nothing, do not panic; try again after 2–3 days.
How to Check Medical Report by Slip Number
The second method uses the slip number instead of the passport number — convenient if you do not remember your passport number or do not have the passport at hand:
Go to the same View Medical Reports page on the Wafid portal.
This time select By Wafid Slip Number (or By Slip Number).
Enter the GCC/Wafid slip number printed near the top of your medical slip, accurately.
Press Check — the status will be displayed.
Under the result you will usually find three options — PDF (download the report), Print, and Close. Save the PDF copy, but note: the physical copy of the detailed report must be collected from the same medical center where you took the test — you will need it for visa processing.
For an even more detailed, step-by-step walkthrough of the passport-number method, our Wafid medical report check guide covers this single method in depth.
Report Statuses Explained: Fit, Unfit, Pending…
Not knowing what each status means causes needless worry. Here is what each one indicates:
FIT — Congratulations! You passed all the tests. You can now proceed to the next step of visa processing.
UNFIT — You have been declared medically unfit, usually because an infectious disease such as tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis B/C, syphilis, or HIV/AIDS was detected.
PENDING / UNDER PROCESS — The report is still being processed; check again after a few days.
REFERRED — Additional tests or a specialist's opinion is needed; follow the center's instructions for the next test.
ABSENT — You were marked absent on the scheduled test date.
What to Do If Fit, What to Do If Unfit
If the report is FIT: do not delay visa processing. A fit report is valid for only 60 days from the issue date (not the exam date). If visa processing is not completed within this period, you will have to take the medical test again. One relief — for Saudi Arabia, once MOFA (visa approval) is completed, the validity effectively extends by about 30 more days.
If UNFIT: first, know that unfit does not mean the end. As per the rules, you can generally take the medical test again (re-medical) after waiting 3 to 6 months. Use this time to get treatment, recover, and then book afresh. But remember — retesting repeatedly for the same untreated condition will not change the result; treat first, retest later.
A warning: some dishonest brokers offer "fit reports for money." The Wafid system is fully digital and centrally controlled — a fake report will not only cancel your visa but can also bring an entry ban on GCC countries in the future. Never fall for this trap.
Which Tests Are Done and Which Documents Are Needed?
The Wafid medical usually includes:
Blood test
Chest X-ray
Urine test
Physical examination
Carry these to the center:
Original passport + clear photocopy
Printed copy of the Wafid slip
Passport-size photos (white background; blue background is asked for Oman)
For Saudi Arabia: visa number, visa date, and MOFA verification paper
For Kuwait: original hard copy of the visa
On cost: in Bangladesh the medical center fee is about BDT 8,500–9,000, plus the Wafid online booking fee (about 10 USD) paid separately. Checking the report online costs nothing — it is completely free.
What If the Report Does Not Appear or Shows an Error?
"No record found"? First check the passport number spelling and nationality (Bangladesh). If 72 hours have not passed since the test, wait.
Slip number rejected? Re-match the number on the printed slip — 0 (zero) and O (the letter) are often confused.
Still nothing after 72 hours? Contact the center where you took the test directly — the delay may be on their upload side.
Avoid third-party "check" sites: many websites collect your passport number under the name of "free medical report check." Always use the official Wafid portal.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Are GAMCA and Wafid the same?
A: Yes, essentially the same system. GAMCA was the old name; since January 2023 it is called Wafid. The old GAMCA website is closed — everything now runs on the Wafid portal.
Q: Does checking the medical report online cost money?
A: No, report checking is completely free. You only pay the medical test fee (about BDT 8,500–9,000) and the online booking fee.
Q: Can I check my medical report by passport number from Bangladesh?
A: Yes. Enter your passport number on the Wafid portal and select Bangladesh as nationality — the report is viewable from anywhere in the world.
