he poem ‘Dreams’ is a two- stanza poem written by D.H. Lawrence. In this poem, the poet depicts the evil purpose of the dreams. In the first stanza, the poet says that everyone dreams. Some people have unconscious dreams by night. That is why he can’t remember anything in the morning. To him, everything appears to be vanity. In the second stanza the poet talks about daydreamers. The dreamers of the day are dangerous people. They dream with there eyes open which means they are going after what they want, and there is no stopping them. They are willing to go to any length to make their fantasies come true. That can be extremely damaging for other members of society. The poet’s piece attempts to raise public awareness of dreams. Everyone should have dreams for the betterment of themselves and others.
