Mother Teresa was born in 1910 in Albania. At the age of 18, she came to India. In 1929, she began teaching at a school in Kolkata. She loved teaching children but she could not ignore the poor people living in the slums of Kolkata. She left her school job and dedicated her whole life to helping the poor and the sick.
