Oh They Say
"Oh, They Say" (translated from Hason Raja's folk song "Loke Bole Bole Re") reflects on the temporary nature of human life. The mystic poet Hason Raja worries about getting old and wonders what happens after death, realizing that worldly things do not last.
Main Themes of the Poem

Temporary Life: The speaker sees grey hair in the mirror and realizes life is short.
No Permanent Home: Because life ends soon, the poet feels no need to build a permanent worldly house.
Fear of the Unknown: Wondering where God will take him after death makes the speaker cry.
