Folk Song
A folk song is a traditional song of a country. It is created by ordinary people and passed down from generation to generation. Folk songs express the joys and sorrows, love and feelings of people. They reflect the culture, customs, traditions, and lifestyle of a nation. Folk songs are usually simple and melodious. In Bangladesh, Baul, Bhatiali, Bhawaiya, and Jari are popular folk songs. These songs are often sung by village people. Folk songs are an important part of our cultural heritage. They help us understand our history and traditions. We should preserve and practise folk songs to keep our culture alive.
