A friend in need is a friend indeed. In our story, we see that Antonio is helpful to helpless people and also on his friend Bassanio. Knowing the danger of his life, he would not hesitate to help people. That’s why the people of Venice, Italy loved him very much. On the contrary. People would hate Shylock for his deeds. He was a moneylender who would lend money with a high interest. If anyone fails to repay the money in time, he would not hesitate to kill him or cut his body and what not. Antonis’ friend liked  to lead a life of luxury. He would spend money lavishly and that’s why he was always in short of money. He did not follow the proverb, “Cut your coat according to your cloth”. So, we should be careful about our expenditure. We should save something for our rainy days.
