Once upon a time the teacher was a most respected person in the society. The children and elders of the area used to respect and pay respect to the teacher. This respect and honor was due to concentration, sincerity and devotion in the performance of professional duties. Even in the royal court, the teacher used to get due respect, honor, reward and status. But with the flow of time, the status of teachers has faded a lot. It is necessary to think about why the respect and image of the teacher has faded. Today, the main complaints against many teachers are coaching business, negligence in classroom teaching, reluctance to help students in learning process, dishonesty in evaluation of students' exam papers and various non-academic activities and active involvement in party politics etc. It is the moral responsibility of all concerned to assess in what process and for what reason the image of the teaching society is fading like this and try to overcome this situation.
Definition of Teacher: Teacher is the guardian of society and civilization. Therefore, there is no room for business mentality in the teaching profession. To restore the lost glory and image of the teacher, it is necessary to understand what it really means to be a teacher. A teacher means an enlightened, wise and intelligent scholar, who plays the role of catalyst in social development. The teacher is one of the key facilitators in the teaching and learning process. A good quality teacher is like an institution and a great blessing. The basis of his success is professional knowledge and skills, pure character qualities, sincere goodwill and efforts in imparting knowledge. Therefore, a teacher means a follow able great wise and scholarly person who is more than committed to helping the student in the process of learning and acquiring knowledge, in developing the moral and mental qualities of the students in the development and development of their character and in the process of making them agents and civilized citizens in the development of society. Analyzing the word teacher vertical, it can be seen that the teacher will be a loving, trained civilized instructor like a home teacher, trustworthy, transparent, characterful, patient enlightened person. The teacher will have a spontaneous commitment to teacher donation. He will be enlightened, skilled, good, instructor. He is an accomplished person capable of imparting knowledge and empowerment among students. The teacher will be committed to flexible and empathetic teaching to help and support students in their pursuit of knowledge. He will be honest humanitarian and social philanthropist. Qualities of a Teacher Expected by the Society: There are many expectations of the society towards the teacher and some expectations of the society and the teacher.
